Entrees
For your pleasure Jay’s Cycles is happy to present these satisfying and delightful offerings that you can enjoy with your favorite bicycle.
General Service: $60
To be enjoyed at least once per year, a blend of gear and brake adjustments featuring full lubrication, accompanied by wheel truing and bearing adjustments, finished with tightening of all nuts and bolts and a light frame polishing.
Drive train Cleaning & Service: $95
A Complete disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication of your drive train: rear derailleur, crank set, chain, and cassette. $50 or only $35 when combined with a general service.
Complete Service: $150
For the hearty appetite. Includes everything in the general service plus repacking of all major bearings: headset, bottom bracket, and wheels, as well as a better opportunity for cleaning.
A La Carte
For lighter dining or for those who like a variety, we offer an extensive array of smaller dishes for your enjoyment.
Gear Adjustment: $16-$26
A complete servicing of the gear system. Includes adjustment of front and rear derailleurs, lubrication of cables, and drive train wear inspection.
Brake Adjustment: $16-$26
Full adjustment of your braking system. Includes alignment of the brake pads and proper toe-in, lubrication and cable tension adjustment. Finished with a perfect centering of your brakes. Guaranteed to stop brake related squeaks and squeals.
*Chef’s Recommendation: combine a brake adjustment with wheel truing for smooth rolling.
Wheel Truing: $15/Wheel and up
The delicate art of adjusting the tension in your spokes to bring the rims into lateral alignment. This is a complicated subject, so consult with your service technician about your expectations. Replacement of broken spokes is extra.
Bearing Overhauls:
Wheels $18 Each:
A complete overhaul of your wheel’s bearings. Includes cleaning and inspection of bearing surfaces, new bearings and grease. Finished with proper adjustment for smooth operation.
Headset or Bottom Bracket: $23 Each
Similar treatment of the fork or crank set bearings, keep these much neglected components running smooth and clean.
Beverages:
Our service technicians are proud to offer selections of lubricants from Finish Line, White Lightning, Pedro’s, and Castrol/Wrench Force. We will choose a lubricant for you based upon application and riding style.
Side Dishes
Delightful compliments to any entrée or for those just looking for a snack.
Inner Tube Replacement: $9 per Wheel
When you just don’t want to get your hands dirty and do it yourself, a Jay’s Cycles service technician is happy to oblige. Includes replacement of your damaged inner tube, inspection of tire and rim, and inflation to proper air pressure. Cost of the tube is not included.
